PARCIAL
- Trecho: "In the Serchio Valley zone the 6th Combat Team (BEF) made steady progress along the high ground on each side of the river in the early part of the month, but on the 9th the advance was slowed on corps order. There was a danger that if the Serchio Valley thrust gained too much momentum the enemy would counterattack, and IV Corps had no reserves. [...] The three-mile advance made at the end of the month was due largely to the poor opposition offered by the Monte Rosa Division; many of the Italians deserted" [imagem FromSalerno-p364] — S145 p. 364 · https://archive.org/details/FromSalernoToTheAlps/page/n423/mode/1up [abrir no leitor]
